The girls’ golf team strolled to another victory on Thursday, Sep. 5, defeating Azusa with a crushing score of 198-323. The Tigers are now 4-0 during the preseason.

The team boasted extremely low scores across the board. Star sophomores Lauren Calderon and Maya Turun led the way with scores of 36 and 37, respectively. Senior Victoria Tskvitichvili and sophomore Cassy Huang ended the match with 40 strokes each. Junior Katherine Anthony played a solid game with a score of 45. Rounding out the line-up, sophomore Audrey Biggar shot for 47 strokes.

“This year we have the same core girls as last year and I think that so far we have been doing pretty well. Everyone has a lot of room to improve and time to do so,” Calderon said. “I think and hope this season is going to be a really memorable one especially for our seniors.”

The Tigers will face Burbank for their penultimate preseason match before league play on Tuesday, Sep. 10.
