The boy’s water polo team got their Rio Hondo League campaign off to a winning start, by defeating Monrovia High School 10 – 2 Tuesday afternoon.

The win snapped the Tiger’s eight game losing streak, and improved their overall record 4 wins and 11 losses.

The team made a vast improvement offensively, as senior Ryan Rodriguez rocketed in five of the ten goals. He was closely followed by sophomores Spencer Gurley and DJ Myer, who scored two each.

The squad looks forward to a strong league season in contrast to their preseason, and is back in the pool on Thursday at home against La Canada.
