The varsity coed badminton team played their fifth match of the season against Mark Keppel High School’s badminton team on Thursday, March 19, losing 2-18.
Sophomores Michael Wu and Victor Cao both won one of their boys’ singles matches against the Aztecs. Wu won 21-10 and 21-11 in his match and Cao topped his opponent 21-11 and 21-14.
“We made huge improvements for having our players average about 20 hours throughout the season. We have improved from chasing the birdie to being able to control the birdie a little more. I believe that it is a great achievement for beginning players with only 20 hours of training,” Wu said.
The team will play its next game against Mayfield Senior High School on Tuesday, March 24 at home.
