Badminton easily defeats Webb in blowout fashion

The badminton team emerged victorious against Webb in their 14-4 home win on Thursday, Mar. 28, redeeming themselves after its disheartening loss to Arcadia the previous week. With this game, the Tigers’ league record rises to 5-1.

As in previous games, juniors Charles Liu, Emily Choi, Joan Choi, and sophomore Jonathan Ng scored numerous points for the Tigers. The individuals dominated each of their singles matches, as well as mixed doubles matches, which ultimately tallied to 11 points for the team. Mixed doubles breakpoint team, senior Steven Wu and junior Jamilah Hah, added another impressive win through their strategic coordination.

In boys’ doubles, Wu and sophomore Andrew Cheung quickly attained victory after two decisive set wins in their game.

Badminton’s next game will be home against Mark Keppel on Wednesday, April 10, the week after students return from spring break.
